The
SP conditioner is an excellent alternate primarily for:
1) The percentage of soft water users that do not like the feel of soft
water.
2) Communities with restrictions based on salt discharge.
3) Customers that want scale mitigation, but without the hassle of salt
or exchange services.
4) Installation intense locations, as a drain and electrical are not required
or are not available.
5) Areas that have restrictions on brine to septic tanks. Companies that
will not give a home owner warranty on the home septic system if salt brine
is discharged into their system
6) People with health issues with the increased salt intake from the Drinkwater
when using a softener.
7 ) For a moment let’s not forget the commercial applications to
consider as well. Commercial applications like commercial RO’s to
protect the membrane, cooling towers and boilers to prevent scale build
up, food service to protect equipment. And commercial laundries to protect
equipment and reduce soap usage. When you think about it the opportunities
to use a SP conditioner goes on and on. We will work with you and can offer
excellent recommendations for commercial applications.
In the home when you replace a salt based softener or if you never had a
softener in a home you may notice that the water is becoming harder in the
beginning as piping scale begins dissolving and this Harding is a consequence
of the Descaling. It will improve daily as the existing scale melts away.
The plumbing took years to develop scale and it only takes a short time to
clean it up. The treated water immediately starts dissolving scale build
up in the pipes. The scale comes off one molecule at a time just like it
went on. In the Thirty to 120 days after installing the SP conditioner all
Descaling should be completed and you will be left with conditioned water
from every tap and know that your pipes are free of calcium build up. In
excessively hard water you may have a build up loosen scale in the bottom
of the water heater and dishwasher from the Descaling and you will need to
clean out the loosen scale from the bottom of the water heater and dishwasher
the first few months until the scale is dissolved in the pipes. You also
may need to clean out the aerators on the faucets from time to time as the
scale may get caught in the aerators. This also will diminish as the scale
dissolves in the pipes
If you use a dishwasher and replace a salt based softener or have never
had a softener you may notice some calcium spotting. This will diminish
to the residual level of the calcium present in your water supply when
the Descaling is finished. In the mean time add a half cup of household
vinegar to the rinse cycle to eliminate any short term calcium spotting
problems while the pipes are Descaling.
IF YOU DO NOT USE PHOSPHATE FREE SOAP YOU CAN GET SOAP RESIDUAL ON THE GLASSES.
YOU SHOULD SWITCH TO A PHOSPHATE FREE DISHWASHER DETERGENT .THE TARGET STORE
HAS A PHOSPHATE FREE DISHWAHER SOAP CALLED “METHOD”YOU CAN ALSO
FIND AN EXCELLENT SOAP CALLED”ELECTRASOL GEL PAK WITH JET DRY RINSE
INCORPORATED. YOU CAN FIND THE ELECTRASOL SOAP IN WAL-MART OR YOU CAN LOOK
ON INTERNET AT www.electrasol@walmart.com. TO FIND A LOCATION NEAR YOU.
THE SOAP IS ALSO AVAILABLE AT EPINSONS. www.epinsons.com. Remember to reduce
your soap usage to the level you used with a softener. Any spotting left
on the glasses will easily wipe off. When you are running the dishwasher
run the dishwasher on high temperature. BE SURE TO TUN OFF THE DRY CYCLE.
Another common problem is scaling caused by back splashing on faucets and
shower enclosures. Because there is no direct water flow across these surfaces
the old scale must be manually removed. After you have cleaned the service
with "CLR "or other lime removal cleaners any new acumination
will wipe off easily. You can also wipe the shower glass with Raindance
wipes after cleaning with CLR. This will help in eliminating spotting in
the shower glass.
After you install your SP conditioner you should clean tubs and toilet
bowls with CLR cleaner to remove excising scale build up before the SP
unit was installed. You will find lime scale on toilet bowls, tubs, and
glass showers stalls will come off much more easily after you install the
SP conditioner. You will not have the excessive lime build up like before
the instillation of the SP conditioner.
After you remove your softener and for those that never used a softener
you will notice that your water will feel silky, and you will see that
your hair rinses “squeaky clean" after shampooing. Many salt
based softeners users will also appreciate this good feeling with none
of the “I can't rinse the soap off my skin feeling" What that
feeling is actually the soap residue from using too much soap. When using
SP conditioner soap react much like when using a softener. Soap lathers
much better with SP conditioned water. The customer needs to reduce the
soap usage like when using a softener. You must to be sure the customer
cuts back on the usage of soap when using the SPconditioner. The end result
is the customer will experience a clean silky feeling.
